A homepage pop-up that built a community

Contrib invited visitors to join its contributor community through a pop-up on its homepage, rewarding every sign-up with 100 CTB tokens. It became the largest program on Referrals.com.

The offer

100 CTB tokens for joining, with more for completing tasks and sharing.

How it worked

  1. 1

A pop-up on contrib.com asked "Wanna be part of our growing team?" and rewarded the sign-up itself.

  2. 2

Rewards were paid in CTB tokens to a crypto wallet, and 601 members connected one.

  3. 3

Follow-up campaigns kept people active: a social reward game (5 CTB per task, 1,465 joined) and a share-to-win token giveaway.

What the numbers show

  • The pop-up caught visitors at the moment they were already on the site, and the reward made joining an easy yes.
  • It worked as a sign-up engine more than a referral loop: only 23 of the pop-up's 5,660 members were referred by someone.
  • Members who connected a wallet (601) were the committed core, the people worth asking to refer.

Integration points
